Sariska Day Trip From Delhi
DL0108
Trade the busy city streets for the rugged beauty of the Aravalli hills with an exciting Delhi to Sariska day trip. Perfect for wildlife enthusiasts and nature lovers, this same-day tour takes you straight to the renowned Sariska Tiger Reserve. Known for its population of Bengal tigers, leopards, and diverse birdlife, this park offers a thrilling natural escape just a few hours from the capital. The highlight of your day will be an action-packed Jungle Safari in an open-top Gypsy, giving you the best chance to spot wildlife in their natural habitat. This well-planned itinerary promises a seamless and adventurous one-day getaway into the wild.
The itinerary:
Start your day with a morning pick-up from your location in Delhi. Settle into your private vehicle for a comfortable 4 to 5-hour drive, watching the urban scenery transition into the dry deciduous forests and rocky hills of the Alwar district in Rajasthan.
- Arrival & Lunch: Upon reaching the Sariska area around noon, take some time to relax before your adventure begins. Enjoy a hearty lunch at a local resort or restaurant just outside the national park, fueling up for the afternoon ahead.
- Jungle Safari by Gypsy: Post lunch, head to the reserve gates for the main highlight of your trip – an afternoon Jungle Safari. Hop into an open-top 4×4 Maruti Gypsy, accompanied by a trained forest naturalist. Spend the next three hours exploring the deep forest trails, keeping an eye out for Bengal tigers, leopards, striped hyenas, sambar deer, and peacocks. Your naturalist will share insights about the local ecosystem and help track animal movements.
- Pandupol Hanuman Temple (En Route): During your safari, you may also pass by the ancient Pandupol Hanuman Temple located deep inside the reserve. According to local belief, this is where the Pandavas from the Mahabharata spent part of their exile. It adds a great touch of history to your wildlife tour.
- Return Journey: After an exciting safari comes to an end in the late afternoon, exit the park and meet your driver. Settle back into your comfortable car and begin the evening drive back to Delhi. You will be dropped off at your designated location by late evening with incredible memories of the wild.
